Hello! I'm Luna (she/her) I'm a 30 something Canadian living in the Midwest USA with my husband, our beautiful son and two cats. I'm a creative, knowledge seeker, neurodivergent parent and highly sensitive person. I'm a full time freelance artist with many different side quests. I'm always trying something new.

INTERESTS

I love being creative in every sense of the word! I'm a huge fan of pixel art, digital art, traditional art specifically watercolor, gouache, acrylic paints, crafts like lino cuts, embroidery, hand sewing, book binding ─ if there's an opportunity to be creative with something, chances are I'm interested in it.

I'm a huge fan of reading. I love books with gritty fantasy, medieval, botanical/extreme horror, queer elements. Music is a huge part of my life, I'm almost always listening to something. My music taste is all over the place, but as of right now I've been listening to a lot of indie, folk, post-hardcore, real screamo and folk punk. I also have some public playlists on my Tidal if you want to listen to new music.

I'm a huge fan of videogames. I focus on a lot of story-driven, dialogue-heavy exploration games with some farming sims sprinkled in. My favourite being Stardew Valley. I'm actually a Ko-fi ambassador and I make Stardew Valley mods that I self host on the platform. I adore Stardew Valley and it's community.

THIS WEBSITE

I created this website with the hopes of creating a digital garden or safe space for me to post the things I'm passionate about. I've never fully connected with social media platforms and always found the secret algorithms frustrating and confusing. I was constantly just yearning for more likes, more follows and more eyes on my work. Desperately wanting more positive attention ─ but left feeling empty, disappointed.

So, this website is truly for me more than anything. But if you're here reading and consuming this content I'm creating, I appreciate that you're interested in spending your limited free time reading my ramblings.

Projects

LUNE · Stardew Valley modding

Lune is a character of mine, turned into a kind of online persona. Her character and my identity quickly became entangled together. As of recent, I've stepped away from using "Lune" branding on a more personal level ─ directly causing the birth of Oakcharme.

I now use her character to hold the Lune branding and as the deity/keeper of my Stardew Valley mods on my Ko-fi. While I no longer identify with her in a personal sense, she will always have a place in my heart as a mask I was able to find much comfort behind.
